Which Maternity Belt Size Do I Need?
The JOBST Maternity Belt is available in a choice of sizes to ensure the most comfortable and supportive fit, with each size being adjustable throughout your pregnancy. Please see the diagram below for information about measuring your waist circumference, and then match the measurement to the table beneath.

When Can I Wear the JOBST Maternity Support Belt?
The JOBST Maternity Support Belt can be worn at any stage during your pregnancy when you feel you'd benefit from a little extra support. Back pain may first occur for some expectant mothers earlier into the pregnancy, so you may wish to wear the support belt earlier on. With an adjustable design that allows you to expand the length of the belt as your bump grows, you can rely on the belt to help support your belly and reduce back pain right through to the birth.
What Conditions Is the JOBST Maternity Belt Suitable For?
The JOBST Maternity Support Belt has been designed with the expectant mother in mind, supporting your growing bump throughout your pregnancy. It is also suitable for a range of other conditions, including, but not limited to, the following:
- Degenerative changes in the lumbar spine region
- Instability in the lumbar spine region
- Lower back pain during pregnancy
- Overstressing of the tendons, muscles, and ligaments (preventative)
Please note that the maternity belt is not suitable for serious back injuries.
How Do I Put On the Maternity Support Belt?
The JOBST Maternity Support Belt is incredibly easy to put on. It's advised that you wear the belt over a light top, and applied while standing up, ideally in front of a mirror. You can then follow the steps for applying the belt:
- Open the support belt and ensure that the label 'Top' faces upwards.
- Position the support belt in the centre of your back, then pull both ends to the front, using the thumb loop for assistance.
- Wrap the slightly tensed support belt around your lower abdomen and comfortably secure it in place with the hook-and-loop fasteners.
- The elastic side straps on the outside of the main belt allow further adjustment. Pull both straps simultaneously and secure
the hook-and-loop fasteners on the main belt in a comfortable position.

How Do I Care for the JOBST Support Belt?
The JOBST Maternity Support Belt is suitable for machine washing at 30° on a delicate cycle – please make sure all fasteners are securely fastened before washing in the machine. The support belt can also be hand washed in lukewarm water with a mild detergent, and then dried at room temperature.
