Covidien TED White Knee Length Anti-Embolism Stockings for Continuing Care
The risk of thromboembolic diseases such as deep vein thrombosis (DVT) or pulmonary embolism (PE) developing can extend up to six weeks after being discharged from hospital, so it's vital that you have stockings that can properly reduce the risk of these potentially fatal events occurring.
The Covidien TED White Knee Length Anti-Embolism Stockings for Continuing Care have been developed to reduce the risk of thromboembolic diseases developing in recuperating patients though a graduated compression pattern. This helps increase blood flow rates to prevent blood clots forming in the leg.

Are Covidien Knee Length Anti-Embolism Stockings Open or Closed?
The Covidien TED White Knee Length Anti-Embolism Stockings are closed toe in design, making them a great option for use all-year round. Closed toe compression stockings are the more popular design as they keep the feet and toes from getting cold and provide a gentle barrier against scuffs, scratches and scrapes.
Clinically Proven to Reduce Thromboembolic Disease
TED stockings are the only anti-embolism stockings which have been clinically proven to reduce thromboembolic disease, where blood clots (most commonly formed in the leg) break free and travel to the lungs where they obstruct the pulmonary arteries, restricting blood flow.
To effectively improve blood flow in legs, the stockings utilise a graduated compression pattern to encourage blood to quickly move through and back up the leg. This works to reduce the chance of blood clots forming in the leg and therefore reduce the risk of fatal pulmonary embolisms occurring.
Designed for Comfort
Because the stockings have been designed for recuperating patients, they are incredibly comfortable to wear. All TED continuing care stockings are latex free, reducing the risk of allergic reactions., and they also feature a closed toe to make them feel comfortable and natural on your feet.
